Happy Birthday, NOLA!

Happy birthday New Orleans, my home away from home! The place that makes me feel the most alive, the Crescent City. May 7, 1718, the city La Nouvelle-Orleans was founded by Jean Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville.

New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit. My goal is to move there, hopefully sooner rather than later, eventually. NOLA is like home to me. There is so much about NOLA that I love from the food, to the history of the city, and the people. It is such a great place to be, and I feel so at ease when I am there. I have never had such a connection to a place. It just feels like home every time I am there.

I am working on a piece right now about some of my favorite things to do in NOLA. I hope to have that out by the end of May. But I couldn’t go through today without acknowledging the birthday of my favorite city.
